Ed Stott Promoted To Head Of Commercial Development, Gallowglass Group

29 April 2015

Production events services provider The Gallowglass Group has promoted Ed Stott to the role of Head of Commercial Development.

Stott, who joined Gallowglass Crewing in 2002, has fulfilled a range of functions within the Group, including that of Regional Manager for the company’s Spanish office. While working for Gallowglass Health & Safety, Stott served as the Safety Advisor for the Delhi Commonwealth Games in 2010. For the last four years he has been Head of Operations for Gallowglass Crewing.

In his new role Stott will be pursuing various business opportunities for the Group, which, in addition to its core crewing offering, includes one of the industry’s leading health and safety companies, a sustainability consultancy and a training company. The most recent addition to the Group’s portfolio is Gallowglass Global Event Services, offering a management-led overlay solution for contractors and major event organisers.

Nick Grecian, Managing Director, Gallowglass Group said: “Ed is a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills. His wealth of knowledge regarding live event logistics and project management amply qualify him to advise clients on the most cost-effective and efficient methods of planning and resourcing their events.”

Stott added: “I’m working with a team of strategists who are experts in large-scale international event delivery. Their combined skills and experience enable the Gallowglass Group to provide a unique turnkey solution, backed by sophisticated business management systems, processes and supporting functions. I’m hugely excited to be promoting this revolutionary approach which we believe will enable our clients to balance the eternal business triangle of time, cost and quality.”

Grecian added: “We have won a number of large-scale contracts in recent years, including servicing a number of festivals, concerts and major awards events, so we see outdoor event clients as a major source of future business for Ed to pursue.”

The Gallowglass Group has a high-capability HR department and database, and has invested £250,000 in systems and software that enable it to manage 750,000 staff movements.
