It provides state of the art equipment and highly skilled technicians for a wide variety of events and tours throughout the world.  Based in Twickenham, we require an Inventory Manager to join our Operations Department.


The main purpose of the role:

 

The Inventory Manager is a key support role to the Operations Manager in a busy, fast moving department with overall responsibility for the accuracy of stock records. The Inventory Manager will also be responsible for data analytics and generating reports for management purposes.

 

Whilst maintaining the current system, the Inventory Manager will be responsible for managing a seamless transition to, and implementation of, our new inventory management software system. This will involve ensuring that all data input is accurate and current, the system is operating efficiently and within an agreed timeline

 

The main tasks and outcomes are:

 

·       Spearheading the delivery and implementation of the new inventory management software system and ensuring that all stakeholders are advised of progress.

·       Overseeing the inventory of both audio and non-audio equipment and stock within BRP.

·       Managing the existing HireTrack Inventory system and keeping all data organised and updated with full and detailed information on equipment purchases, sales and disposals.

·       Confer with Reception, Warehouse, Sales and Accounts Management and staff to co-ordinate inventory management activities.

·       Maintain an open dialogue with other departmental staff to improve performance, processes and productivity.

·       Manage, organise and update the company barcode register with equipment purchases and disposals

·       Inform and liaise with the Accounts Department of any and all purchases and sales of equipment to enable the Fixed Asset Register to be updated

·       Process paperwork and maintain all files relating to inventory Management

·       Planning, managing and supervising the annual stock check and ensuring the accuracy of the information.

·       Timely delivery of the fully reconciled stock check to both the Accounts Department and Operations Manager.

·       Being the point of contact for inventory management software and hardware issues and ensuring their speedy resolution. Liaising with the I.T. manager, product support and advising all internal interested parties.

·       Training new Warehouse staff on the relevant inventory software and ensuring that all users are kept abreast of any updates.

 

 

Person specification: Attributes and Skills:

 

Excellent organisational and time management skills

Strong communication skills – both written and oral

The ability to self-direct and work as part of a team

Accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Reliable and punctual

Familiar with computerised inventory systems and a track record of implementing new systems is essential.

Knowledge of audio equipment or experience of working in the live sound industry is required.

 

Salary and Benefits:

 

Salary of Circa £25k depending on experience

Company pension scheme

 Annual profit share scheme based on company performance
